I don’t know if I’m alone in wanting more art about what goes on in bathrooms, but I respect the maintenance that everybody does behind a closed bathroom door. I appreciate all the shits, all the showers, all the brushing (of whatever you need to brush), all the shaving, all the private panic attacks, and all the hangovers. Whether it’s maintenance you want to do or feel the need to do, I respect it. Shedding layers because you want to, or shedding layers because there’s pressure to, or shedding layers because it’s what needs to happen… we all shed layers, and people’s reluctance to share makes me sad. The practice should be unifying, not alienating.
